This presentation will cover both basic and advanced investigation issues, including investigation best practices, how to structure an effective investigation, identify and gather relevant evidence, conduct effective interviews, apply the appropriate standard of proof and reach conclusions in good faith. If you need help understanding the factors that weigh for or against an internal vs external investigation, when to place someone on leave, or what to say when notifying people of an investigation, this class is for you.  You will be given real-life examples of recent investigation quandaries and have an opportunity to ask questions.  Whether you are new to conducting investigations or have abundant experience, there’s always more to learn on how to navigate the constantly changing landscape of workplace investigations.
